My life has changed in such a wonderful way SINCE BEING A MOM! I now realize the tremendous impact mothers have on the lives their little ones, which is why I’ve decided to not only share my passion for Dance and The Arts with children, but MOMMIES too! Opening this summer in Lake Charles will be my new Arts Enrichment, Dance, and Fitness Studio – Munchkins & Mommies, dedicated and catering to MOMMIES and CHILDREN ages 3 months to 10 years!
Until now My ENTIRE life has been dedicated to Dance and The Arts! It has been my love and passion for over 25 years. For the past 11 years I have been lucky enough to share that love with others, watching my students grow in the arts, and develop into teachers, choreographers, and performers! It is only recently that I’ve been blessed with a NEW PASSION and LOVE, and that is BEING A MOM! There is nothing in the world quite like it!
On that note… HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the moms! I hope you all enjoy your special day!
Being a mom is such an important job, as mothers are a child’s first teacher. Did you know a child learns 50% from his mother then the remaining 50% is from the surroundings? Mommies are the best friends and the best teachers! Mother-child relationships are so important in developing happy healthy children!
We hope you will join us in one of our classes Mommy & Me or Mommy & Baby Classes. It is such a wonderful way to spend quality time with your child in a safe and secure learning environment where your child will flourish.
Also take advantage or our Munchkins/ Mother’s Day Out – Art Enrichment Program, giving your child the opportunity to learn and to express themselves through the arts, while giving mom a break.
Classes will begin this summer! We hope to see you there!
…I would also like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day my own mother. I would not be the person I am today without her. My mom always encouraged me to develop my own artistic and educational strengths. From make up to make believe, creative art, and home performances I was always encouraged to explore and just be a child. As I got older my days of make believe dance studios and pretend students came to an end. I knew I always wanted to open a dance studio, and when I was a Sr. in high school I had convinced my mom that my grandmother’s little red barn was the perfect place to do this! From 10 students in the barn to over 200 students and three dance studios later my mom has always been my biggest supporter. Her thoughtfulness, selflessness in helping me attain my goals leads me to believe, without a doubt, that she is someone who exemplifies the characteristics of great mother. She has been my right had woman. I love you Mom!
